Watch carefully some of the common creatures of the Mar Menor lagoon.

Species that live in the Mar Menor are typically Mediterranean , but  since it is a coastal lagoon, faunal and botanical diversity is enriched by species adapted to high salinity waters. In the thicket and hurdle around the lagoon live typical birds from wetlands.

During the storms, seabirds that feed in open water seek refuge. At the bottom of the Mar Menor life goes on with the attendance of soles, sea horses and prawns.
