Descripción del módulo / Module description

    ENGLISH:

Push the button and observe how the water jets turn into a row of drops.

Pushing the button, light changes from steady to flashing. The steady water jet will change to a string of small drops of water. Our perception has changed but, what really happens?

Water comes out from the pipe with the shape of small drops, in such a high speed that the retina in our eyes is not able to notice their contour lines. Rather than watching a thousands of water drops falling at the same time we obtain a blurry continuous image, a water jet. Stroboscopic light creates flashing light impacts in the water. We obtain an image of every single impact, thus we see them separately.

Similarly, when it starts to rain we see the water drops fall. However, when rain gets heavier we even say ‘rain buckets’ .
